DEBBI FROM MANORVILLE Dear Dr. Fisher I just wanted to thank you for what you did for my husband. In the years I've known him he never smiled, laughed, or talked without hiding his teeth. Now with his new smile, he smiles, laughs, and talks without hiding his teeth. I now can see the smile that I never saw before. You have changed his confidence level and for that I am forever grateful. Thank you for giving my husband a smile he is not afraid to show off. Thank you again--Debbi MICHAEL FROM MERRICK I was having terrible pains in my jaw, resulting in my jaw clicking, my neck and mouth hurting, and I was getting terrible headaches. My wife suggested I visit Dr. Fisher as she thought I had a bad case of TMJ. She told me that I was always grinding my teeth in my sleep and clenching my jaws. She told me that I could have a night guard made and that my pain would be alleviated. I laughed and kept putting off the appointment. Finally, when I could not stand the pain anymore, I made an appointment to see the dentist. Dr. Fisher told me that it felt as if my jaw muscles were made of steel. He explained to me that damage that was occuring by clenching and grinding my teeth in my sleep and said that the pain could be alleviated by the fabrication of a night grinding appliance. Okay so I had one made and started wearing it every night. It felt funny in the begining, but by the third day most of the pain was gone from my jaw and by the end of the first week I truly felt much better. I wear my guard every night now, I have no more clicking, no more neck and mouth pain, and my headaches are almost non-existent.
